Rockzimity Marketing with Def Leppard

Def Leppard proves once again they are pioneers not only in music, but now, as leaders in the digital age, through a strategic partnership with Mobile Marketing Firm Ace Marketing & Promotions Inc. On August 23rd at the group's concert in Detroit, MI at the Joe Louis Arena, Def Leppard will introduce their "ROCKZIMITY MARKETING," a Bluetooth & Wi-Fi proprietary marketing technology, only from ACE Marketing & Promotions Inc. (OTCBB: AMKT). Ace Marketing will power the delivery of exclusive content direct to the fans of Def Leppard, via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled "Hot Spots" at the show.

For the first time ever in an arena environment Def Leppard fans will be "Welcomed to the Sparkle Lounge" upon walking through the main entrance of Joe Louis Arena. They also can get a message that enables them to "Win A Trip To The Sparkle Lounge" after the show. Fans will also receive select discounts on merchandise adding a third layer of value for the Def Leppard fan.

Def Leppard lead singer, Joe Elliott, said of the program, "You have to differentiate your music in today's industry and how you introduce things to your audience. This is the direction for the future of the way fans connect with artists, it also adds another dimension to our live performance by getting the fans involved from the moment they walk though the door -- literally."

Matt Gaines, Sr. Vice President of Marketing for Ace Marketing & Promotions, stated, "We are proud to partner with Def Leppard on this ground breaking initiative. We love firsts, this is a first for Rock music and a first for the fans of Def Leppard. It doesn't get any better than this. So come to the show with your Bluetooth visibility enabled, and experience 'ROCKZIMITY, ' you could win a trip after the show to meet Def Leppard in 'The Sparkle Lounge.'"

Def Leppard's "ROCKZIMITY MARKETING," will be activated at key HOT SPOT locations in and around Joe Louis Arena. Upon arrival at the venue, signs will direct fans to enable their Bluetooth or Wi-Fi signal on their mobile device. Once fans are visible to the zone, they then will receive a message from the band. Upon accepting the message, fans will instantly begin receiving exclusive content from Def Leppard. There will be no cost to a fan, data charges or minutes of service incurred for content.

Remember after last tour, Sav was auctioning off some of his tour
clothes for charity? In doing that he raised more than £6,000 for the
two Sheffield charities. That's close to $12,000 USD.  Here is a photo

Child and Sheffield Children's Hospital.

CMT Crossroads - We knew that Def Leppard was going to be on it at some point this years, but the artist they were going to be with was always an unknown - until now. Country music's youngest and hottest female singer is the answer - Taylor Swift.

From the
Tennesean.com -

Fun fact: Country startlet Taylor Swift was a ripe negative 2 years old when pop-metal mavens Def Leppard released their massively successful, career-defining Hysteria album. Reason for that fun fact: The tender young singer will be joining the weathered radio-rock icons in October for a taping of CMT's Crossroads, which'll premiere Nov. 8 on the network.

According to both parties, the pairing is nonstop good times -- for starters, Def Lep, says a release, is Swift's "all-time favorite rock band."

"Every time I’ve seen Crossroads on CMT I’ve always thought, 'If I ever get to do one of those, it has to be with Def Leppard,' so this is really a dream come true for me,” Swift said in a statement. “I have been screaming the words to Def Leppard songs for years... so it's amazing that I'm going to get to share a stage with them this year."

Def Leppard voice Joe Elliott, who's been screaming the words to those songs for a few years himself, was similarly pumped.

"How cool is this?! Country's hottest young star wanting to work with us!!" he said.

The British loud-rock mainstays have had other recent brushes with hot country stars -- "Nine Lives," the first single from Def Leppard's new Songs From The Sparkle Lounge, is a pair-up with slightly more seasoned country voice Tim McGraw.

About Taylor Swift -

Widely hailed as the first bonafide country music star of the MySpace generation, 18-year-old Taylor Swift currently has singles climbing both the country and pop radio charts. At the age of 17, Swift became the youngest person to single-handedly write and sing a number-one country single entirely on her own ("Our Song" spent six consecutive weeks at #1 atop Billboard's Country Singles Chart), and she is the first female solo artist in country music history to write or co-write every song on a platinum-selling debut CD. At 14, she signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music, and in 2006 released her self-titled debut CD on Big Machine Records. Swift was named this year's Top New Female Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music, and won 2008 CMT Music Awards for Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year.

Def Leppard is up for three awards at the Classic Rock awards. They are Album of The Year, Band of the Year and Tour of the Year (with Whitesnake). The awards will take place on Monday November 3rd at the Park Lane Hotel in London. Rumor has it that they may be performing, however the day of the show puts them in the middle of the Austrailian Tour so I think that is hightly doubtful.
