I was invited to Holmdel, NJ at the last minute and drove up Saturday. At this point, the only Lep I haven't met is Sav. Long story short- while waiting outside after the meet & greet backstage area- all of a sudden I see blonde hair & a white shirt approaching. Holy Spittage!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend asked him for a pic ( she got a good close-up during the show when he stuck his tongue out at her!!) and in a complete deadpan expression he says "Well, you got one already!!" I froze,thinking- oh,no- is he mad? Then, I realize he's playing with her! He says."Look, I know everyone says this but I've got to drop my stuff off,2 seconds and I'll be right back". I'm cracking up AND freaking out at the same time. So, we're waiting and talking- I was teasing her about it. Then I look up and- oh my God, he's walking up to me!! And then he's right there next to me,just looking at me with those big blue eyes. So, I'm just staring back and he doesn't say anything so I said 'Well I'm never gonna let her live that down" He says "What?" So I imitated him -" Well,you got one already!!" Sav goes "Well, she does!" So, I hand my camera to Marianne & put my arm around him -getting bold aren't I?-and he puts his arm around me and I leaned my head closer in towards his. I was practically tucked under his armpit. His shirt was so light-I could feel his skin thru it-oh mercy.Then he signed my Slang liner notes- with his full name-not just"Sav".I told him I loved to watch him with his bass onstage-LOL!!- I forget how I put it exactly- with how great he plays-whatever- he didn't say anything but he seemed pleased- I felt like a dork. Then Marianne got her pic with him,etc & he went back to the bus.
