Thankfully we did make it (no thanks to the parking garage elevator not going where it should. The button for the first floor was pressed, it decided to stop on the third floor, we ended taking the stairs) and were in our seats a good ten or so minutes or so before Mal came out and welcomed us to the show before introducing Ricky.

Just wow about his performance. After seeing him play, I have this whole new respect for him as an artist. Will definitely be getting Tattoos and Alibis come September. Would have gotten the Japanese release at the merchandise stands had they not sold out (good news for him though! ).
Did manage to get a Union Jack tank top. Won’t be wearing it though, that baby is going up on my wall in a frame! I must have missed out on the tour books so the shirt will have to be my memento. Not a bad memento, not at all. <G>
Okay back to the concert now. Queen (We Will Rock You) comes on over the speakers followed by a tape version of Disintegrate then after several times of Coma by Guns N Roses (I’m assuming it was them, only band I know of with a song of that title) DL takes the stage (looking mighty fine I must say) and the concert is officially underway.

Sav: Glam t-shirt and I think he was wearing those pants he usually wears with that shirt. I couldn’t really see them all that well. Boy did he look good up there, moving about the stage, playing up to the crowd. I must’ve sighed at least five times while watching him…
Joe: T-shirt with what looked like a oversized hand/palm from where I was sitting and black leather (again it was hard to see) pants. I sighed while watching him too, lol. He also played up to the crowd, there was this one moment (can’t remember during what song) but where Sav leaned back against him while playing. Unfortunately while I *did* see it, I missed getting a pic of it. Would have been the perfect picture… *sigh*
Phil: Wasn’t really paying attention to his shirt, was just waiting for him to take it off…. <G> Which he did when the lights were dimmed so I missed it. *sighs* His pants I believe were black. He was on fire up on the stage, it seemed like he was always moving from one end to the other, and he never looked tired either, not even at the end. The stamina that man has is just in one word…amazing
Rick: He had on a t-shirt and shorts and *did* stand a few times, we took pics when he did…as well as a few of him playing (I found myself just watching him as he played. Beyond amazing). Was hard to tell because it was after “Rocket” and there was still smoke from the smoke machines billowing about, but it did look as if there was an incense stick burning up there
Viv: Couldn’t really make out what he was wearing from my seat and when he moved closer to Sav or up onto Rick’s drum riser, I forgot to pay attention, whoops. I do know that he ended up losing his shirt as well… <G> I saw that.. Both he and Phil were just amazing up there, they all were...
All in all, I had an awesome time and can’t wait to see them again! Even with ringing ears, sore feet and a guy’s arm in the way a lot of the time, I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything in the world.
