| Ok, here goes, I'm gonna give the short version, cuz if I give all the details it might take a very long time. Ok, it was about 4 pm on Saturday December 14 in San Fransisco. My mom took me up there for my 16th birthday. We had been waiting for 6 hours in a line because it was a general admission show and we wanted good seats. We had backstage passes, only because we were lucky, not because we are anyone special, hehe. My mom and I asked the people in front of us to hold olut spot in line while we went to the car to just redo make up and fix the hair a little, cuz it'd been pouring rain all day. We went to the car, and just as I was changing my shoes we saw 2 more tour buses pull up and park accross the street from us on the side of the venue (2 had already been parked there). I freaked out and I wanted to get out and go wait and see what was gonna happen. I put my shoes back on and told my mom to get the camera, and we ran accross the street (ion the still pouring rain) and waited outside the buses, there was only 2 other people waiting. We saw Rick, and I started to go see him, but he had his back turned toward me and he got his bags and started walking away before i got to him. Then i (in awe) walked back to where we'd been waiting, right in front of me Viv walked off a bus and walked around the back of the building, then Sav...thats when i really freaked out. I couldn't even say anything, I wanted to say "Sav" but I couldn't, i was shocked. After Sav Joe got of the bus and they all walked around the corner to the back of the venue, then into a backstage entrance. I had wanted to meet 'em so bad, but I figured we might have a chance to with the passes later, so we went back to the car and i dried my hair with the heater and cried (that's the first time I saw Sav that close). I out my "X" shirt on that my mom made and we put on our passes and we were going to walk back to where they'd gotten off the buses to thank a security guard for being nice to us while we had been waiting. When we got over there he saw the passes and told us we could have followed them back there, he said we could go anywhere but the dressing room. We went around the back where they'd gone in and went on in. There wasn't much going on inside, there was just one lady walking our opposite direction. My mom asked her if there was a place where we could just relax and the lady said we could go a chill in the 'hospitality room', so we walked through some doors and started to walk into the 'hospitality room', as we opened the door we saw Sav and Joe and some other guys in there, my mom shut the door and backed out and I was freaking out but trying to stay cool. She said we shoudln't go in there because we didn't want them to be mad, we were the only fan-ish people there, and if any one of the band guys had been mad or somethine at me, i'd have been scarred for life! I went into the actual venuw because Rick was up testing his drums and tech people were testing other instruments, and my om went out to where we'd been in line to put our chairs in the car and stuff. |

| After a few minutes my mom told me to go check in that hall and see if anything was going on. I went and Joe and Sav were doing meet and greets with the conctest winner poeple, so I ran back and got my mom and we went in there. I waited my turn for a pic with Sav and Joe. I went and got in the middle of em and my mom took a picture and Joe said "I like your shirt" and I told him my mom mad e it and he thought that was cool, then he said "werent you guys the ones watching sound check?" and my mom and I said "Yeah" and i told him it was great and he said thank you. Then my mom told them that we drove up there for my 16th birthday from So. Cali and Sav said , "Oh really? Phil too". I said thanks, and turned to Sav and said bye, and I walked around to get my bag I'd left by them. My mom asked me if i was getting inline for an other picture and jokingly i asked Sav and Joe if I could and they laughed. They were about to leave and I told them to wait because I wanted my mom to get a picture with them, she always takes me cool places and I'm always the one in the pictures. They waited and I counted 1, 2, and took the picture. Both Sav and Joe said "3!" I hadnt meant to take it early and I said "Sorry!" and Sav laughed and said "It's alright!", then they had to go to the dressing room. After that I met Phil (he wasnt doing the meet and greet thing, he was just chilling backstage) and I told him I was in a band called Crash, then I asked for a picture. After the pic we talked about my birthday and he said "Happy Birthday", and we talked about the weather (lol that sounds like a joke) on the way upto frisco. We took one more pic with Phil and left, and I told him Happy late Birthday, and phil thanked me. Next I met Viv, we mainly just took a picture, and I got a picture of him autographed for my little brother. Then I saw Malivin and I got a picture with himj. After that we waited a while to see if i could meet Rick, but it was getting really close to show time so we went out to the crowd. we got a suprisingly good spot considering we hadnt stayed in line. |

| The show was AWESOME!!! They really put on a good show, and it was just SO awesome! After the show we watched the band go offstage (we went to the side stage at the encore). They went in their dressing rooms and there was a bus right outside the back stage we thought they'd probably go straight out to the bus and leave. We went out side and right behind us was Rick. He went out and was giving autographs to a group of fans waiting outside for him. I got a pic of him and I signed and we took a picture except a lady stuck her head in the way, so you can only see half of rick's head. After that Viv walked out and got on the bus, then Phil and Joe and Sav got on and they left. It was the most awesome night!!! Jen |
